Our sponsors, Ms. Behnisch and Ms. Pairish went to the Triumph of the Spirit Awards! This year, the celebration's theme was all about raising your VOICE for human rights. The event was hosted by the SMU Embrey Human Rights Program at the Kessler Theater on November 16th. The global award honored Dr. Georges Bwelle who created the organization ASCOVIME to offer free healthcare and education to impoverished communities in Cameroon. The local award went to Carol Brady Houston, director of the Friday NITE Friends program that supports special needs children and their families.
